(a) Employees of the City may be entitled to compensation in money at a rate not to exceed one and one-half (1.5) times the regular rate established for the work performed by such employee for all hours worked on a holiday and for each hour worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day, or in excess of forty (40) hours during any work week. In lieu of the monetary compensation as herein provided, employees may be granted compensatory time off from the performance of duty during regular hours or work at a rate not to exceed one and one-half (1.5) hour for each hour of overtime work.
(b) The inclusion or exclusion of employees to the benefits of this section shall be determined by resolution of the Board of Control.
