§ 9-4.239 SUBDIVISION MAP ACT.
   SUBDIVISION MAP ACT. The Subdivision Map Act of the state (Cal. Gov't Code § 2 of Title 7, as amended).

§ 9-4.240 TENTATIVE MAP.
   TENTATIVE MAP. A ma made for the purpose of showing the design of a proposed subdivision, the existing conditions in and around such proposed subdivision, and such other matters as may be required.

§ 9-4.241 THOROUGHFARE.
   THOROUGHFARE. A road of general county importance which is designated as a county thorough-fare, either existing or proposed, upon the Circulation Element of the General Plan.

§ 9-4.242 WALKWAY.
   WALKWAY. A way designed for use by pedestrians and not intended for use as a way for motor-driven vehicles. Public paths shall include only such paths whose rights-of-way are dedicated upon a subdivision map or deeded to and accepted by the Council.

ARTICLE 3: TENTATIVE MAPS
§ 9-4.301 REQUIRED.
   A tentative map shall be submitted for approval preceding the submission of a final map for a sub-division. Such tentative map shall be in accordance with the Circulation Element of the General Plan and all other city laws and resolutions effective on the date of the presentation of the tentative map.

§ 9-4.302 FORM.
   The tentative map shall be clearly and legibly drawn on one sheet.
