§ 9-4.237 SUBDIVIDER.
   SUBDIVIDER. A person, firm, corporation, partnership, or associate who causes land to be subdivided into a subdivision for himself or for others.

§ 9-4.238 SUBDIVISION.
   SUBDIVISION. The division of any improved or unimproved land, shown on the latest equalized county assessment roll as a unit or as contiguous units, for the purpose of sale, lease, or financing, whether immediate or future. Property shall be considered as contiguous units even if it is separated by roads, streets, utility easements, or railroad rights-of-way. SUBDIVISION shall include a condominium project, as defined in Cal. Civ. Code § 1351, or a community apartment project, as defined in Cal. Bus. and Prof. Code § 11004. Any conveyance of land to a governmental agency, public entity, or public utility shall not be considered a division of land for the purposes of computing the number of parcels.

§ 9-4.240 TENTATIVE MAP.
   TENTATIVE MAP. A ma made for the purpose of showing the design of a proposed subdivision, the existing conditions in and around such proposed subdivision, and such other matters as may be required.

§ 9-4.241 THOROUGHFARE.
   THOROUGHFARE. A road of general county importance which is designated as a county thorough-fare, either existing or proposed, upon the Circulation Element of the General Plan.

§ 9-4.242 WALKWAY.
   WALKWAY. A way designed for use by pedestrians and not intended for use as a way for motor-driven vehicles. Public paths shall include only such paths whose rights-of-way are dedicated upon a subdivision map or deeded to and accepted by the Council.
