Whenever any person, persons, partnership, firm or corporation shall desire to cut, break, alter, or excavate such surfaces or cut underneath such surfaces enumerated in Section 7-125 of this Article, such person, persons, partnership, firm or corporation shall file an application in triplicate provided by the Town of Schererville with the Building Department of said Town.
When the Building Department has received said completed, approved application and the permit fee as determined by the fee schedule provided with the application, the Building Department shall issue said permit providing the applicant has filed a bond required in the ordinance. In the event an emergency arises where an excavation or cutting must be made at night or on a holiday, such excavation or cutting may be made only by persons, firms, partnerships, or corporations having on file a current bond as required in this ordinance, but such permit shall be promptly applied for and paid for on the next business day.
