Sec. 5-23 Traffic Regulations. 3
a. Observance of Park Speed Limit.
1. The park speed limit shall henceforth be set at ten (10) miles per hour for all parks in the Town of Schererville.
2. No person shall drive or propel or cause to be driven along or over any road within or adjacent to the park any vehicle or conveyance at a rate of speed greater than speed limit signs along the right-of-way.
b. Vehicle Restricted to Roadways.
1. No motorized vehicle of any kind shall be driven over or upon any portion of the park, except drives and roadways established for vehicles by the Board.
2. No moped bicycles shall be driven over or upon any portion of the park, except drives and roadways established for vehicles by the Board.
c. Reckless Driving of Vehicles - No person shall drive, or propel, or cause to be driven or propelled along or over any highway, road, parkway, drive or parking area within the park, any vehicle, without due regard for the safety and rights of pedestrians and drivers and/or occupants of all other vehicles, so as to endanger the life, limb or property or wooded areas, or parking areas of others.
d. Driving on Park Areas and Closed Roads or Drives - No person shall drive a vehicle of any kind upon or along any park area, road or drive which has been closed and posted with appropriate signs and/or barricades.
e. Parking in Areas Not Designated as Parking Areas - No person who is the owner or operator of a motor vehicle or cycle shall park such vehicles in other areas except those designated as parking areas.
