5-1-1: CREATION AND COMPOSITION:

There is hereby created in the village a police department, to be an executive department of the village. The police department shall consist of the chief of police and such other members as may be provided from time to time by the mayor and board of trustees. (Ord. 457, 8-11-1976)

5-1-2: APPOINTMENTS:

The mayor, along with the advice and consent of the board of trustees shall appoint the chief of police. (Ord. 1586, 1-24-2012)
