5-1-10: PHYSICAL EXAMINATION AT AGE SIXTY FIVE:
   A.   Annual Examination: Upon any member of the police department reaching the age of sixty five (65), including supervisory personnel, he or she shall be required to undergo an annual physical examination to determine his or her ability to adequately perform the duties of the position. Upon a review of the results of said physical examination, the mayor and village board of trustees shall then determine the employment status of the member. The mayor and village board of trustees shall have the authority to maintain the member in his or her current position, reassign said member and/or retire the member from employment of the village. The medical information obtained from the physical examination shall be treated as confidential and kept in a file separate from other personnel records.
   B.   Applicability: This section shall apply to any and all members currently employed or appointed by the village and to all such members who will be employed or appointed in the future. (Ord. 1293, 4-14-2004)
