MAYOR
§ 30.01 DEFINITION.
   The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the city.

§ 30.02 QUALIFICATIONS.
   The Mayor must be a person:
   (A)   Who is a citizen of the United States;
   (B)   Who is at least 21 years old;
   (C)   Who has been a resident of the state for a period of at least three years preceding the election to the office of Mayor;
   (D)   Who has been a resident for at least two years preceding the election to the office of Mayor of the city or an area which has been annexed by the city;
   (E)   Who is a qualified elector of the city; and
   (F)   The office of Mayor of the city is considered vacant if the individual elected as Mayor ceases to be a resident of the city.

§ 30.03 TERM OF OFFICE.
   The Mayor shall hold office for a term of four years and until the qualification of his or her successor. The term of office of Mayor shall commence on the date specified by the statutes of the state.
