§ 30.28 PRESCRIBING DUTIES OF OFFICERS.
   The Council may prescribe the duties of all city officers and fix their compensation.

§ 30.29 PRESCRIBING DUTIES OF OFFICERS NOT OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR.
   (A)   The City Council has power to prescribe the duties of all officers of the city, subject to the limitations of the statutes of the state.
   (B)   The duties of the Street Commissioner, Chief of the Fire Department and other city officers not prescribed by the statutes of the state may be prescribed by ordinance.

§ 30.30 DETERMINATION OF VACANCY IN MUNICIPAL OFFICE.
   If any officer moves from the city, or any Council member from his or her ward, such office must be declared vacant by the Council.

§ 30.31 FILLING OF VACANCY.
   When any vacancy occurs in any elective office, the Council, by a majority vote of the members, may fill the same for the unexpired term and until the qualification of the successor. The vacancy in the office of Council member must be filled from the ward in which the vacancy exists; but, if the Council shall fail to fill such vacancy before the time for the next election, the qualified electors of such city or ward may nominate and elect a successor to such office.

§ 30.32 REMOVAL OF APPOINTED OFFICER.
   The Council, on written charges to be entered upon its journal after notice to the party, and after trial by Council, may remove any non-elected officer by vote of two-thirds of the members elect.

§ 30.33 SALARY OF OFFICERS.
   The Council shall determine, by resolution, the salaries and compensation of elected and appointed city officers.
