5.36.010: LICENSE REQUIRED:

It is unlawful for the owner or operator of any commercial type vehicle used for business to be driven or moved upon any street in the city without first paying the fees herein provided and obtaining a license therefor. No such license shall be issued by the city until commercial license plates registered with the state of Utah motor vehicle division have been obtained. (1999 Code)

5.36.020: LICENSE FEES:

The annual license fee for commercial vehicles, except for taxicabs and ambulances, shall be as specified on the fee schedule adopted pursuant to section 5.06.050 of this title. (1999 Code)

5.36.030: STICKER ATTACHED TO VEHICLES:

Every vehicle required to be licensed under this section shall have a sticker provided by the city affixed to the front windshield so that it may be plainly seen. The sticker is not transferable to any other vehicle. (1999 Code)

5.36.040: LICENSE EXEMPTION:

The license fee required by this section is not required for vehicles which:

   A.   Merely pass through the city.

   B.   Are used exclusively in interstate commerce. (1999 Code)

5.36.050: UNLAWFUL OPERATION; PENALTY:

Any person operating a vehicle on city streets is required to be licensed under this section and pay the proper licensing fee. Any person failing to obtain the requisite license and to pay the proper license fee may be assessed a penalty as provided by this title. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to remove or affect any other penalties otherwise imposed by the provisions of this title. (1999 Code)
