Editor's note:
The city's Home Rule Charter was adopted by the electorate on August 10, 1996, as declared by Ordinance 497, passed August 13, 1996. Amendments were approved by voters on February 2, 2002, May 11, 2013, May 7, 2016, and November 3, 2020.
The city's Home Rule Charter has been codified in the English language only. However, a Spanish language copy of the Home Rule Charter is available for public inspection at the office of the City Secretary.
