The members of the City Council at the time of the adoption of this Charter, unless removed pursuant to Article VI, shall continue to hold the respective office for which they were elected or appointed. Unless and until removed by the City Council or the City Manager, persons who lawfully hold appointive city offices or positions at the time of the adoption of this Charter may continue to hold such offices or positions.
