This chapter is adopted pursuant to Chapter 12.16 of the Chico Municipal Code to authorize and establish a procedure for reserving city park facilities for the exclusive use of a person or group of persons and for public events requesting reservation of same. The purpose of this chapter is also to ensure that such events are carried out in a safe manner, in a manner that does not unreasonably interfere with the use of such park facilities by other members of the general public not participating in the events, and in a manner which does not damage city park facility property including, but not limited to, park infrastructure, landscaping, or natural vegetation.
