90.19 OPERATION OF CURB STOP.

It is unlawful for any person except the Water Department to turn water on at the curb stop.

90.20 OPENING AND CLOSING GATE VALVES.

No gate valve on the water mains shall be opened or closed without permission from the Water Department.

90.21 PROTECTION OF WATER SYSTEM.

The Building Official shall make and enforce such regulations concerning the installation, repair, or alteration of air conditioning systems, water treatment equipment, and water-operated devices as the Building Official believes is necessary to properly protect the water system of the City from anything which might endanger the health, safety, or welfare. These regulations are to implement the purposes of this chapter, and must be with the consent of the Council and not be inconsistent with this chapter, or with State laws or regulations.

90.22 RESERVATION OF RIGHTS BY CITY.

The City reserves the right to tap water mains, to lay, construct, set and repair water service pipes, meter boxes, meters or any and all appurtenances connected with the water service pipes, and may charge the property owners thereof the reasonable prices therefor, not exceeding the usual prices charged by plumbers for such work in the City.

90.23 WATER SYSTEM INTERCONNECTIONS.

There shall be no physical connection between the water system and an individual well or central water system which will permit the passage of any water from the individual well or central water system into the water system.
