(a) Permitted Uses. A building or premises in the R-2 District shall be used only for the following purposes:
(1) One single-family residential dwelling per lot.
(2) Public parks and playgrounds not including commercial activities.
(3) Any form of agricultural use except the keeping of livestock or poultry.
(4) Forestry and wildlife preserves. (Ord. 1815. Passed 7-15-93.)
(b) Permitted Accessory Uses. The following uses shall be permitted in the R-2 District:
(1) Home occupations, limited to the pursuit of the arts as artists, musicians, etc.
(2)
Deleted. (Ord. 2190. Passed 8-1-13.)
(3) Private recreational facilities.
(4) Accessory buildings customarily accessory to a permitted use.

(c) Conditional Uses. The following uses shall be permitted in the R-2 District only by special permit:
(1) Public utility uses.
(2) Government buildings.
(3) Churches and other places of worship.
(4) Home occupations other than the individual pursuit of the arts.
(5) Art galleries, public libraries or museums.
(6) Cemeteries.
(7) Restricted accessory parking areas.
(8) Planned unit developments.
(9) Nursery, kindergarten, elementary or secondary schools.
(10) Special or alternative-type schools as defined in West Virginia Code Chapter 18-20-1.
