a. The Town Council for the Town of Schererville, Indiana, may ratify a Resolution of the Metropolitan Police Commission, and may authorize said Police Commission to advertise for the hiring of police officers outside the department with police academy training for the purposes of filling vacancies existing in the Schererville Police Department.

b. The Town Council may authorize the Police Commission to offer the inducements set forth in appropriate Resolution form in order to attract qualified police officers to the Town of Schererville, Indiana.

c. The Town Council hereafter authorizes the metropolitan Police Commission of the Town of Schererville, Indiana, to advertise for the employment of officers outside the Town of Schererville with police academy training, should said Commission feel that the situation merits such steps.
