a. The membership of the Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners of the Town of Schererville is designated as five (5), pursuant to Indiana Code, § 36-8-9-3(b).

b. The members of the Town Council shall hereafter name two (2) additional members to the Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners, whose terms shall commence on the 1st day of January, 1991. The additional commissioners may not be members of the same political party.

c. One (1) Commissioner so appointed shall serve for a period of one (1) year, and the other shall serve for a period of two (2) years from date of the initial appointment. At the expiration of each Commissioner's term, unless the same is terminated for cause prior to such expiration, a replacement Commissioner (or re-appointment) shall be appointed to serve a three (3) year term. Pursuant to law, each Commissioner is subject to removal by the members of the Town Council for any cause that is deemed sufficient.
