a. Users as required by the Superintendent or his designee shall install grease interceptors.
b. Grease interceptors shall be installed at the Users expense when such User operates a cooling establishment.
c. Grease interceptors may also be required in non-cooling or cold dairy and frozen food stuffs establishments and other industrial or commercial establishments when the Superintendent, for the proper handling of liquid waste containing grease, deems them necessary.
d. No User shall allow any wastewater discharge concentrations from the subject grease interceptor of FOG to exceed 100 mg/l as identified by EPA Method 1664 or EPA Method 413.
e. All grease interceptors shall be of a food design and capacity as approved by the Superintendent or his designee and shall be readily and easily accessible for user cleaning and Town of Schererville inspection.
f. All such grease interceptors shall be serviced and emptied of accumulated waste contents as required in order to maintain minimum design capability or effective volume of the grease interceptor but not less than every thirty (30) days.
