a. In an effort to curb problems with the sanitary sewer collection system and the possibility of pass through or interference with the Wastewater Treatment Plant serving the Town of Schererville caused by fats, oils and grease accumulations and petroleum or mineral oil discharges in it's sanitary sewer mains. The Schererville Town Council hereby adopts the following Fats, Oils and Greases Control Ordinance.
b. Any non-residential facility connected to the Town of Schererville sanitary sewer collection and treatment system involving the preparation or serving of foods or any process discharging fats, oils and greases will be subject to the conditions of this ordinance.
c. Any non-residential facility connected to the Town of Schererville sanitary sewer collection and treatment system involving the servicing or machining of equipment involving petroleum, non-biodegradable cutting or mineral based oils (or derivatives), or any process discharging petroleum, non-biodegradable cutting or mineral based oils or derivatives will be subject to the conditions of this ordinance.
