Sec. 2-59 Superintendent of Parks and Recreation; Appointment and Qualifications. 17
   a.   The Board may appoint a Superintendent of Parks and Recreation. The Board may not consider political affiliation in the selection of the Superintendent.
   b.   The Superintendent must:
      1.   Be qualified by training or experience in the field of parks and recreation; or
      2.   Have a certification or an advanced degree in the field of parks and recreation.
   c.   An incumbent performing park and recreation functions in a supervisory capacity at the time the Town Council adopts the Ordinance herein is eligible for appointment as Superintendent or as an assistant, but the incumbent must have the required training, experience, or certification.
