Sec. 9-107 Authority to Impose a Sprinkling Ban. 18
   The Utility Board of Trustees of the Town shall have the authority to declare an emergency exists and impose a sprinkling ban in conformity with the terms hereof. Upon such declaration, the restrictions provided for in this ordinance shall become immediately applicable. The ban on sprinkling shall be in full force and effect until the next regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town, who shall either continue such ban for a time certain or terminate such ban as of a certain date. If the Town Council fails to take action at its next regular meeting on the temporary ban, as created by the authority granted herein, the sprinkling ban shall terminate as of the day immediately following such regular Town Council meeting. In creating the ban provided for herein, the Superintendent of the Water Utility Department shall post notice of the imposition of such ban in a prominent place in each Ward or Precinct of the Town and shall, within one (1) day after the last posting has been made, publish notification of the imposition of such ban in two (2) newspapers of general circulation in the Town by providing a news release to each of such newspapers setting forth the date on which such ban shall become effective and the reasons therefore. The sprinkling ban shall become effective on the date on which the posting requirements provided for herein have been fully satisfied.
