Sec. 8-22 Maximum State Established Speed Limits.

The speed limits as set forth in the state statutes shall be applicable upon all streets within the Town of Schererville, except as modified by this Traffic Code. As authorized by state law the Town declares and determines upon the basis of engineering and/or traffic investigation that certain speed regulations shall be applicable upon specified streets. In such event, it shall be prima facie unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle in excess of any speed so declared in this Traffic Code, when signs are in place giving notice thereof.
