The following numbered Sections of the Fire Prevention Code referred to in this Ordinance be and the same are amended and modified so as to read and provide as follows:
"Section 12.5 b. The storage of explosives and blasting agents is prohibited within the limits and boundaries of the Town of Schererville, Indiana, except for temporary storage for use in connection with an approved blasting operation; provided, however, this prohibition will not apply to wholesale and retail stocks of small arms ammunition, fuse lighters, fuse igniters and safety fuses (not including cordeau detonant fuses) in quantities involving less than five hundred (500) pounds of explosive material nor shall it apply to explosive-actuated power devices, when employed in construction operations in highly populated areas, in quantities involving less than fifty (50) pounds of explosive material. Nor shall the limitation on storage of explosives and blasting agents apply to any person who or operation which has first obtained a permit to store the explosives or blasting agents from the officer in charge of the Fire
Prevention Bureau upon application."
"Section 16.22 a. The storage of Class 1 liquids in tanks above ground and outside of buildings is prohibited within the limits and boundaries of the Town of Schererville, Indiana, except, unless and until the person storing or proposing to store such Class I liquids in tanks above ground and outside of buildings shall have first obtained a permit from the officer in charge of the Fire Prevention Bureau upon due application having been made."
"Section 16.61. No new bulk plants shall be constructed within the limits and boundaries of the Town of Schererville, Indiana, except, unless and until the person proposing to construct such tanks as owner or agent shall have first obtained a permit to do so from the officer in charge of the Fire Prevention Bureau upon due application having been made therefore."
"Section 12.7 m. Vehicles transporting explosives shall avoid congested traffic in densely populated areas except that any such vehicles which must follow a route within the Town of Schererville, Lake County, Indiana, on which there is congested traffic or which proceeds through a densely populated area may do so upon the owner or operator thereof obtaining a permit from the officer in charge of the Fire Prevention Bureau upon due application made therefore."

"Section 28.1. Bonfires and Outdoor Rubbish Fires.
Permit Required. No person shall kindle or maintain any bonfire or rubbish fire or authorize any such fire to be kindled or maintained without a permit or other proper authorization. During construction or demolition of buildings or structures no waste materials or rubbish shall be disposed of by burning on the premises or in the immediate vicinity."
