a. Any persons in the Town of Schererville, Indiana, who shall directly or indirectly sell or lend, or offer to sell or lend, or give away, or offer to give away, or in any manner exhibit with or without intent to sell, lend or give away, any obscene book, pamphlet, paper, drawing, lithograph, engraving, picture, motion picture, daguerreotype, photograph, stereoscopic picture, model, cast, instrument or article which is obscene, or write or print any circular, handbill, card, book, pamphlet, advertisement or notice of any kind stating when, how, where, or of whom any of the obscene articles or things hereinbefore mentioned can be purchased, borrowed, presented, or otherwise obtained, or are manufactured or whoever knowingly manufactures, displays to the public, or draws with intent to sell or have sold or prints such articles or things shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00).
b. For purposes of this section, obscene items as listed herein, are defined as those items listed herein which depict or describe sexual acts, normal or perverted, actual or simulated, in a patently offensive way and taken as a whole, appeal to the prurient interest in sex lacking serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value, which sexual conduct shall include but not be limited to fornication, cunnilingus, sodomy, fellatio, sadism, masochism, bestiality, excretory functions, masturbation and lewd exhibition of the genitals.
