For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply:
a. Weeds - Any uncultivated plant occurring naturally which has a tendency to dominate or drive out grasses and desirable plants.
b. Rank Vegetation - Uncontrolled growth of any plants including but not limited to weeds and grasses.
c. Grass - Any of various green plants having simple leaves, and generally cultivated for lawns.
d. Developed Lot - A subdivided (or unsubdivided) and developed lot on which a residence or dwelling house has been erected.
e. Special Subdivided Lot - A lot within a subdivision for which the plat of subdivision has been on record with the Recorder of Lake County for more than five (5) years, and upon which there is no residence or dwelling house.
f. Undeveloped Lot and Other Property - A parcel of real estate zoned for residential, apartment, commercial or industrial use, on which if residential there is no residence or dwelling house erected, and excepting a “Special Subdivided Lot”.
g. Adjacent - The sharing of a common property line, common highway or right-of-way, a common easement or common utility or transportation corridor. To tie near or close to; in the neighborhood or vicinity of.
h. Owner - The person, firm, partnership, trust or corporation, including municipal corporation, owning, leasing, or controlling real property in the Town of Schererville.
