All amendments or supplements to Indiana Acts of 1981, Public Law 309, or Indiana Code, § 36-7-9 et seq., enacted by the General Assembly, and which become law subsequent to the taking effect of this ordinance, shall be deemed and construed insofar as applicable, as amendments and/or supplements to this ordinance and this ordinance shall be deemed and construed as amended and supplemented accordingly without further act, amendment or supplement of this ordinance by the Town Council of the Town of Schererville, Indiana. If and in the event that any provision, clause or phrase of this ordinance is inconsistent with any provision, clause or phrase of Indiana Acts 1981, Public Law 309 or Indiana Code, § 36-7-9-1 et seq., as from time to time amended or supplemented, then and in such event the provisions of such Indiana Acts and Indiana Code and Public Law shall be controlling and this ordinance shall be deemed and construed as amended accordingly without further act, amendment or supplement respecting this ordinance by the Town Council of the Town of Schererville, Lake County, Indiana.
