This ordinance adopts and implements the provisions of Indiana Code, § 36-7-9-1, et seq., as amended, insofar as such provisions are compatible with the administrative structure of the Town of Schererville. All proceedings within the Town of Schererville for the inspection, repair, and removal of unsafe buildings shall be governed by the provisions of the Indiana Code as stated herein, and the provisions of this ordinance. In the event the provisions of this ordinance conflict with the provisions of Indiana Code, § 36-7-9-1, et seq. , as amended, then the provisions of the Indiana Code shall control.
