a. Should any inspection reveal a violation of this ordinance, whether intentional or not, the inspector may issue a warning allowing the owner or occupier or other responsible person sufficient time, not to exceed thirty (30) days, to comply with this ordinance. The inspector may, in his opinion, not grant a violator any deferment to correct the violation. Should the inspector grant an extension, in no event, may an occupancy permit be granted, if one has not already been issued until this ordinance has been complied with.
b. Any violation of this ordinance may subject the owner, occupier, or responsible person of a building, structure, residence, business or other premises covered by this ordinance to the following penalties.
1. Immediate closing and condemnation as unsafe any covered structure and removing all persons, or not allowing any persons in or on the premises unless or until the violation is corrected.
2. A fine up to Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) each day of the violation. This fine may be imposed cumulatively.
3. Civil action to enforce this ordinance for noncompliance with all costs and attorneys fees of the actions to be imposed upon the violator.
