Sec. 4-232 Rates or Fares to be Charged and Regulations Governing Operation of Taxi Cabs.
   a.   All taxi cabs operating within the municipal boundaries of the Town shall be equipped with taxi cab meters approved by the Lake County Department of Weights and Measures.
   b.   All taxi cab companies shall prominently post a rate card listing charges for each service on the interior and exterior of each taxi cab.
   c.   All rate changes of any type by an applicant after the initial issuance of license shall be submitted to the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office for review by the Town Council. In evaluating a request for a rate change, the Town Council shall evaluate relevant factors, including, but not necessarily limited to, public safety, service value and convenience to the traveling public. The Town Council shall approve or deny said rate change within sixty (60) days of the public filing. If the requested rate change is denied, the Town Council shall issue reasons for denying the same. In the event that the Town Council fails or declines to act on a request for a rate change within said sixty (60) days, the rate change applied for shall be deemed approved and will become immediately effective.
   d.   Said rate change shall not be effective until approved by the Town Council or passage of the sixty (60) day period referenced in paragraph c. above.
