a. The Chief of Police, or his designate, shall have the right to inspect any Alarm System on the premises where it is intended to be used, both prior to and subsequent to the issuance of a permit, at reasonable times, for the purpose of determining whether a permit should be granted and/or continued, and to determine if said Alarm System is being used in conformity with the terms of the permit, industry standards, and in compliance with applicable laws and ordinances.
b. Upon evidence of frequent false alarms or other good cause as evidenced in writing, the Chief of Police or his delegate is authorized by each Alarm User, but not required, to have the Alarm System inspected by an Alarm Equipment Supplier licensed by the Town for such purpose. Any costs incurred for said inspection shall be the responsibility of the licensee, and shall in no way be the responsibility of the Town of Schererville.
