a. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Division relating to motorized bicycles shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. The parent or guardian of any person under the age of fifteen (15) years old violating any provision herein shall be deemed to have violated this ordinance. It is the duty and obligation of every parent or guardian to ensure that the provisions herein are adhered to by those persons under the age of fifteen (15) years.
b. Should a party violate the provisions of this Division the Schererville Police Department may impound the vehicle and if the operator of an impounded vehicle is a minor, said motorized bicycle will only be released to the minor child's parents or legal guardians.
