Sec. 2-415 Clerk's Record Perpetuation Fund.
   a.   There is established a fund, designated specifically as the Clerk's Record Perpetuation Fund.
(Ord. No. 1483, § 1, 3-8-00)
   b.   The established Clerk's Record Perpetuation Fund will be utilized when a defendant fails to notify the Schererville Town Court of the intention to either pay or deny the charge against said defendant, or when a defendant fails to pay a charge, fine or penalty levied against said defendant, resulting in the citation issued by the Schererville Town Court being transmitted to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles for suspension of driver's license privileges. When the citation is paid by a defendant thereafter, it is necessary for the Schererville Town Court to transmit a prescribed form to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles by either first class mail or facsimile transmission for reinstatement of the driver's license privileges of any suspended person. A fee is hereby assessed in the amount of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each transmission to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles regarding suspensions or reinstatements of driver's license privileges. The fee charged for such purposes shall be collected by the Clerking Staff of the Schererville Town Court, and said monies collected shall be deposited in the established Clerk's Record Perpetuation Fund under the control and authority of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Schererville. All said fees shall be remitted to the Town Clerk-Treasurer on a regular basis as the same are collected by the Schererville Town Court.
(Ord. No. 1483, § 2, 3-8-00)
   c.   The funds deposited into the Clerk's Record Perpetuation Fund established hereby may only be expended after appropriation for Court record keeping improvements and equipment. All expenditures from the Clerk's Record Perpetuation Fund shall be processed, appropriated, claimed and/or allowed in the same manner as all other claims of the Town of Schererville, in conformance with applicable law.
