Sec. 2-399 Civic Expense Budget Account.
   a.   A civic expense budget account is established within the general budget of the Town of Schererville, Lake County, Indiana, to appropriate funds from the General Fund of the Town to pay the expenses of a civic or governmental nature incurred in promoting the best interest of the Town.

   b.   The Clerk-Treasurer of the Town is authorized and required to transfer the necessary funds to said civic expense budget account to effectuate the purposes required for said budget and the appropriations therefrom.

   c.   The appropriations from said civic expense budget account established to pay the expenses of a civic or governmental nature incurred in promoting the best interest of the Town shall not exceed three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) for any calendar year.

   d.   Appropriations from said civic expense budget account established to pay the expenses of a civic or governmental nature incurred in promoting the best interest of the Town shall not be made without prior authorization of the Town Council.
