It is the duty and responsibility of the Safety Committee to perform the following:
a. Upgrade and continuously maintain the Town of Schererville's safety policies and procedures to meet the Recognized Safety Standards For Municipalities and State Agencies,
b. Monitor all work environments including personnel, vehicles, and equipment to assure that the Town's adopted safety requirements and procedures are met and continuously practiced and implemented on a daily basis.
c. Investigate all unsafe locations and work practices in existence and take such steps as are necessary to eliminate them expeditiously.
d. Investigate any accident wherein personal injury, loss of time, or property damage in excess of sixty-five dollars ($65.00) has resulted and to take such steps as are necessary to avoid recurrence of the same.
