Hydrants should be placed near each street intersection and intermediate hydrants placed where the distance between intersections exceeds three hundred and fifty feet (350'), or as otherwise required by either the Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office, the Director of Public Works, the Planning and Building Department, or the Schererville Fire Chief. Hydrant placement shall be shown on the final engineering plan.
