Sec. 2-181 Cellular Telephone Usage Policy.
   a.   The Town may provide cellular telephones and rate plans/packages for designated Town employees and officials in order for the duly designated Town employees and officials to effectively perform their assigned duties and responsibilities. The designation of the Town employees for whom such cellular phones are provided is at the direction and authorization of the Town Manager.
   b.   The use of Town-issued cellular telephones is authorized for communications related to the function and purpose of the Town and in connection with the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities by the duly designated Town employees and officials thereof.
   c.   Town employees and officials who are issued cellular telephones and who incur roaming charges or exceed the minutes provided under the rate plan/package amount for personal calls (those not related to Town business) will reimburse the Town for the amount of the additional charges.
   d.   The Clerk-Treasurer shall maintain a log of Town employees and officials issued Town cellular telephones, including the following information:
      1.   an identification number or description, and the phone number of the Town-owned cellular telephone;
      2.   the name and title/position of each Town employee or official to whom a cellular telephone has been issued; and
      3.   the Town business use for said cellular telephone.
   e.   Any Town employee determined to have violated this cellular telephone usage policy will be deemed to have committed a Group I Violation as set forth in the Town Personnel Policy Manual for Employees, and will be subject to the provisions of same, including the loss of use of the privilege and possession of a Town-issued cellular telephone.
