a. Officers shall be granted incentive leave days at the rate of one (1) duty day for each three (3) month quarterly period in which the officer records perfect attendance.
1. Incentive leave days may be accumulated from year to year, up to a maximum of twenty (20) days.
2. Earned incentive leave days may be authorized by the officer's supervisor based upon workload and manpower availability and shall be scheduled at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance.
b. Perfect attendance - defined as an officer appearing for, and actually working each and every one of the officer's scheduled work shifts during a three (3) month quarterly period.
1. This includes periods of authorized vacation and on-duty sickness/injury.
2. Excluded are days off assessed as a result of disciplinary action, non-duty sick/injury leave, the Family Medical Leave Act time and/or any unauthorized leaves of absence.
