§ 12-1101. Load Restrictions Upon Vehicles Using Certain Streets.
   (1)   When signs are erected giving notice as required by The Vehicle Code, no person shall operate a commercial vehicle upon any street if the vehicle has a gross weight in excess of the amount specified in such notice.
§ 12-1102. Designation of Restricted Street.
   (1)   Whenever an ordinance prohibits the use of any street by certain types of vehicles the Department shall erect and maintain appropriate signs to give notice thereof.
§ 12-1103. Use of Certain Streets by Commercial Vehicles. 147
   (1)   Council may, by ordinance, restrict the operation of commercial or burden vehicles on designated City streets.
   (2)   Ordinances restricting commercial or burden vehicles from using certain City streets shall not be deemed to prohibit the use of such vehicles on such streets:
      (a)   in the usual course of business with the occupiers of properties abutting thereon; or
      (b)   while carrying passengers for hire; or
      (c)   if the vehicle does not have more than two axles or does not have a vehicle license for weight in excess of 21,000 pounds gross weight.
