When a public sewer becomes available, the building sewer shall be connected to said sewer within 60 days and the private sewage disposal system shall be cleaned of sludge and filled with clean bank run gravel or dirt.

BUILDING SEWERS AND CONNECTIONS
The connections of building sewers into the public sewer shall conform to the aforesaid requirements or to the standards of Water Pollution Control Federation Manual of Practice 29, whichever standard is more severe. Any deviation from the described procedures and materials must be approved by the Superintendent.

(A) No unauthorized person shall uncover or make any connection with, or opening into, any public sewer without obtaining a permit signed by the Superintendent.
(B) The sewer permit shall distinguish between residential, commercial and industrial users. The permit application shall be supplemented by any plans and specifications, or other information considered pertinent in the judgment of the Superintendent.
(C) (1) Permit fees shall be:

(2) Fees shall be payable to the City Treasurer for deposit to the sewer utility fund on issuing of the permit.

All costs incidental to the installation of the building sewer shall be paid by the applicant. The applicant shall indemnify the city from any loss or damage that may directly or indirectly be occasioned by the installation of the building sewer.

A separate and independent building sewer shall be provided for every building. Any pre-existing connections that serve two or more buildings shall be separated and made separate and distinct sewer connections within one year from May 30, 1975.
