§ 50.051 PIPE AND JOINT SPECIFICATIONS.

   (A)   A building sewer shall be:

      (1)   Cast-iron soil pipe, ASTM Specification A-74, as revised; or

      (2)   Vitrified clay sewer pipe, ASTM Specification C-13 or C-200 as revised; or

      (3)   Other suitable material allowed by the National Plumbing Code, except bituminized fiber pipe.

   (B)   Joints shall be tight and waterproof.

   (C)   Any part of the building sewer that is located within ten feet of a water service pipe shall be constructed of cast iron soil pipe with lead joints. Cast-iron pipe may be specified by the Superintendent when adjacent to tree roots.
