For the purpose of this Zoning Code, land and building usage is grouped into districts. All uses within each district are governed by the requirements stated herein. The basic type of districts are:
Residential;
Commercial;
Industrial and Manufacturing;
Medical;
Professional Services;
Special;
Planned Unit Development; and
Rural.

There is hereby established and hereafter maintained in the City an official zoning map which shall conform to the provisions of this Zoning Code and all other ordinances and laws relating to zoning which may hereafter be in effect. The official zoning map shall be kept up to date and reflect any changes in zoning and districts which may hereafter be lawfully adopted.
