All installations of electrical wiring and equipment for lighting, heating, signal or power shall be made in strict accordance with the provisions of this chapter and any orders, rules and regulations issued by authority thereof. Where no specific standards are prescribed by this chapter or by any orders or statutes of the State, the regulations of the Ohio Building Code for the safety of persons and property shall be required under this chapter.

Within the boundary of all urban renewal projects, all new residential subdivisions and all new manufactured home parks, any new electrical distribution wiring, any new communication wiring and any new street lighting wiring, shall be constructed underground.

(a) Service and metering shall be in accordance with the National Electrical Code, except as modified herein.
(b) Every electrical contractor shall leave his or her name, address and telephone number on the main electrical panel to enable the Electrical Inspector to communicate promptly with the contractor when necessary.
