The object and purpose of this chapter is to safeguard persons and property from hazards arising from the use of electrical energy by establishing and adopting minimum standards for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, the issuance of permits, the collection of fees, the inspection and approval of material, equipment and installations and the administration and enforcement of the provisions and regulations contained herein.
