16.64.010   Adopted by reference.
   A.   For the purpose of providing a just, equitable, and practical method, to be cumulative with and in addition to other remedies provided by the Uniform Building Code and the Uniform Housing Code adopted in this title, and as otherwise available at law, whereby buildings or structures which from any cause endanger the life, limb, health, morals, property, safety, or welfare of the general public or the occupants, may be required to be repaired, vacated, or demolished, there is hereby adopted by reference and incorporated as a part of this code, the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1991 Edition, as adopted by the International Conference of Building Officials, except wherein the provisions of the same are repealed or amended by the provisions of this chapter.
   B.   Nothing herein shall be read to alter the city's obligation to enforce any and all mandatory building, health, safety and sanitation requirements enacted by the state of California, including but not limited to the provisions set forth in Title 25 of the California Code of Regulations.
