157.01 FIRE PREVENTION CODE ADOPTED.

There is hereby adopted by the City for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion the code and standards known as the International Fire Code, as adopted by the State of Iowa.

157.02 ENFORCEMENT.

The code hereby adopted shall be enforced by the Fire Chief.

157.03 DEFINITION.

Whenever the word “jurisdiction” is used in the code hereby adopted, it shall be held to mean the City of Carroll.

157.04 ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS.

Section 3404.2.9.6.1 of the International Fire Code is hereby adopted in which permanent bulk storage of Class I and Class II liquids in above ground tanks is prohibited in the geographic area established as follows:

An area bounded as follows: south line of Fourth Street; east line of Carroll Street; south line of Eighth Street; and west line of Clark Street.
