73.02 REGULATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS.

The provisions of this chapter are subject to the record approval of the parking regulations and time restrictions by the Council, which regulations and restrictions shall be posted at each entrance to said lots.

73.03 PARKING.

It is hereby made unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to park or cause or to permit to be parked a car, truck, bus or any other vehicle upon or within any private parking lot, as above defined, in violation of any regulations or time restrictions posted thereon by the owner, lessee or operator, or to cause or to permit a car, truck, bus, or any other type of vehicle to remain parked on any such lot in excess of a time limit posted thereon by signs, and any such vehicle is hereby declared a nuisance within the spirit and meaning of Chapter 657 of the Code of Iowa.

73.04 REMOVAL AND IMPOUNDMENT.

Any vehicle unlawfully parked upon any private parking lot referred to in Section 73.01 hereof may be removed therefrom by the Police Department at the expense and cost of the owner of such vehicle, and the Police Department is hereby authorized, at the request of the owner, lessee, or operator of such lot, to remove any vehicle so unlawfully parked and impound same to any authorized garage or area, which vehicle shall be released to the owner upon payment of towing and storage fees.

73.05 POLICING.

In addition to (and not in limitation of) the sanctions contained in the above section, the Police Department may mark tires and issue a summons in the same manner and to the same extent as is done on public streets and publicly owned parking lots.
