GENERAL PROVISIONS
§ 31.01 CONSOLIDATION OF TOWN OFFICES.
   The Town Board may combine, merge, or consolidate, by ordinance, any of the various offices of town government as it deems necessary and convenient for the administration of the town government. Such ordinance must be enacted at least 30 days prior to the date of all next municipal primary election. Any consolidation of elected town offices shall go into effect at the end of the term of the office to be consolidated or when a vacancy occurs.

§ 31.02 BONDS.
   (A)   The Town Clerk or purchasing agent shall give a $7,000 bond payable to the town within ten days after election or appointment.
   (B)   The Town Treasurer shall give a $7,000 bond payable to the town within ten days after election or appointment.
   (C)   The Police Chief shall give a $1,000 bond payable to the town within ten days after election or appointment.
   (D)   The Municipal Court Clerk shall give a $1,000 bond payable to the town.
   (E)   The town shall pay the premiums on such bonds.

§ 31.03 COMPENSATION; SALARIES.
   (A)   The basic monthly compensation of the following elected municipal officers shall be as indicated below:
      (1)   Each Trustee: $12.50 per meeting attended;
      (2)   Town Clerk: $12.50 per meeting attended; and
      (3)   Town Treasurer: $12.50 per meeting attended.
   (B)   The basic salaries of elected municipal officials shall not be changed after their election or during their term of office according to State Constitution Article 23, § 10.
   (C)   The Town Board of Trustees may determine or regulate the number and class of officers and employees and determine or change their compensation by motion or resolution.

§ 31.04 REMOVAL FROM OFFICE.
   (A)   Officers and employees of the municipal government may be removed for cause. Causes for removal (provided under 22 O.S. § 1181, as amended) include neglect of duty, gross partiality, oppression, corruption, extortion or willful overcharge, maladministration, drunkenness, and failure to account for public funds and property.
   (B)   Proceedings for removal, insofar as possible, shall be conducted in accordance with 75 O.S. as amended.
