ARTICLE 3: OPERATION
§ 4-1.301 SAFE MECHANICAL CONDITION AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to ride or operate a bicycle in the city unless such bicycle is equipped as provided in this chapter and unless the bicycle is in safe mechanical condition.

§ 4-1.302 COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to ride or operate a bicycle in the city in violation of any of the rules of the road as set forth in this article.

§ 4-1.303 RIDING ON SIDEWALKS; EXCEPTION.
   No person shall ride or operate a bicycle on any sidewalk in the city; provided, however, juveniles 10 years of age or under, exercising due care and giving the pedestrian the right-of-way, may ride and operate their bicycles upon the sidewalk, except such side-walks as are in front of schools, stores, or buildings used for business purposes.

§ 4-1.304 RIDING ON PLAYGROUNDS, PARKS, AND SCHOOL GROUNDS.
   No person shall ride or operate a bicycle upon any playground, park, or school ground without the permission of the person having supervision thereof.
