701.01. Application of chapter.
   Except as may otherwise be specifically provided in this Part Seven - Business Regulation Code, all licenses shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
701.02. Licenses under control of Department of Finance.
   The granting and issuing of all licenses under this Part Seven - Business Regulation Code, or under any other ordinance of the City, shall be under the supervision and control of the Department of Finance, Division of Taxation and Treasury, unless the ordinance under which such license is issued otherwise provides, and all licenses granted shall be subject to ordinances in force at the time of their issuance, or which may be subsequently passed by Council. No person, society, club, firm, organization or corporation shall engage in any trade, occupation or business, as set forth in this Part Seven - Business Regulation Code, without first obtaining a license for such purpose, and the payment of the license fee hereinafter designated, and the application for such license and the granting thereof shall be subject to such general provision, and such licenses so granted, unless otherwise provided, shall be on a yearly basis.
