157.01. Board created.
   There is hereby created the Bowman Park Advisory Board, which shall consist of not less than five (5) nor more than fifteen (15) members who shall serve without compensation.

157.02. Membership.
   The membership of this Board shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the confirmation by a majority vote of the City Council, and all of the members shall have voting power.

157.03. Terms of members.
   All appointments shall be for a four-year term, or for unexpired vacancies that may occur. Any member may be re-appointed by the Mayor to serve additional terms, subject to the approval by Council.

157.04. Duties of the Board.
   The Board shall guide the development of Bowman Park and will serve in an advisory capacity to the Mayor, City Council and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry. The Board shall render periodic reports and recommendations to the Director of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry. The Board shall, when requested by Council, consider, investigate, make findings, report and recommend upon any special matter or questions coming within the scope of this work.

157.05. Organization.
   The Board shall choose its own officers, make its own rules and regulations, and keep a record of its proceedings. A majority of the members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry or a designated representative shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Board.

157.06. Donations and gifts.
   The Bowman Park Advisory Board is hereby authorized to accept donations and gifts for the express purpose of supporting non-profit activities regarding development, operation, renovation and preservation of the park. Any funds so received are to be deposited with the Commissioner of Taxation and Treasury in a Bowman Park Advisory Board Trust account code 90-6050-5671-T71516. Disbursements shall be made from such Trust by the Director of Finance upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers signed by the chairperson of the Board and approved by the Director of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry.
